The weather in Chicago appears to be taking a turn for the better! After a long hibernation it’s time to come out and enjoy the outdoors. To celebrate the occasion I toasted a T52 Double Corona. This was one of the sticks sent directly to me from Drew Estate. More specifically this was one that came from Jonathan Drews private stock – for those that don’t know- the T52 is Jonathan’s choice of cigar of all his cigars.
Overall Summary: Coupled with the beautiful weather this cigar experience was absolutely fantastic.
Details: Total smoking time was just over 2 hours, which worked out perfectly since it was a 70 degree evening. I was in no rush, so puff after puff was thoroughly enjoyed. The flavor profile of the cigar is delicious. If you haven’t had one of these you need to. I know it might be sacrilegious to some of you out there but, I may like this one more than the #9. It’s hard to tell…but I really like the flavors. These flavors include: black pepper (beginning/middle only) cedar, coffee and chocolate. Lots of reviews always say they taste “cedar” which is BS, but I can honestly tell you that flavor is here.
Meticulously blended over a period of two years to be a worthy humidor companion to our much heralded Liga Privada No. 9 recipe. With notes of black pepper and spice, it is our company president’s personal choice when desiring a stronger, more robust smoke.
Strength: I was concerned this might knock me off my feet, but experienced nothing of the sort. It’s absolutely bold flavored, which I love, but no crazy nicotine side-effects.
Recommendation? Absolutely – for all levels of experience.
